Marisol and Camille were attacked today by my husband's dog while we were at the gym. [img]graemlins/broken_heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/broken_heart.gif[/img]

Apparently he thought they looked fun when I was making the album yesterday. Camille's hair looked the worst when we got back, but Marisol's seems to be ruined. It looked okay at first, I just was upset about taking it down out of her two ponytails because I had wanted to keep her hair close to mint condition. But one had gotten pulled to the side, so I had to take her hair down to brush it. When I did, a lot of her hair started falling out! It isn't falling out in clumps, but a lot comes out when I run the brush through it. I'm worried that this will continue to happen, and I actually don't think that the dog did it. I am thinking that it is a defect that I only realized because this is the first time I've played with her hair. Do you think CS will replace the head for me? My husband said to send her to the hospital either way because he knows Marisol has been my special girl since she arrived. I don't know what to do! Do you think they still have heads? Is there a way to keep this one if I have her head replaced... I feel attached to it. I'm going to call CS in a little while, but I am trying to calm down about it before I get on the phone with someone.

If they still have Lindsay heads, they MUST have marisol heads. I think it would be fine to send her to the hospital- just request to keep the neck string if you don't want a plastic zip tie instead!!

My Marisol hasn't been losing her hair, so I don't think it is typical.

Aww, I am so sorry for both Marisol and Camille. I hope AGH will help. Need to send Nancy Drew in as Molly's Xmas outfit made her arm all green.

Didn't I read that they will send the old head back too? If you request it to be returned.

I would definetly say it is possible for you to get the head replaced, but I don't think CS will give it to you for free. Even if it was a defect, there is no way of knowing that was the case. A dog attack isn't really in the bounds of "normal play."

I guess you could ask, but heads aren't too expensive, and that seems like abusing the system, IMO.

So sorry that happened. It must have been so traumatic for your girls.

I don't want to abuse the system, but I actually do think this is a defect and I think the quality of the wigs has gone down. Has anyone else had problems with Marisol's wig?

I actually had problems with my Marisol's hair and have simply styled it in a style I like and left it.

originally, I requested a replacement from AG, which they sent, but then couldn't ever convince myself to ship her off, because she's my first AG doll and on top of that very special to me.

I ended up paying for the replacement and keeping both, so I now have an extra Marisol to sell/trade later on.

I think it all depends on if you seriously think it is a wig defect, or if you think it might be dog related. Also if there appears to be obvious damage caused by the dog, ex. bite marks.

I don't think I'd ask for her head back, though. Never really under stood that concept, but I don't see why asking them to fix something that appears to be an actual problem if you feel it's honestly not dog related.

My Marisol's hair part is starting to come out I was just brushing it one day and her hair came out where the part was. It just kind of fell out but it is ok now I think. If it gets any worse she might need to go to the AG hospital soon. I feel so bad for your Marisol I hope she feels better soon a new head is $38. AG might call you and ask you if they could just replace the doll altogether that's what happend to my AGOT24 she is feeling much better now!!

I think it really might be a wig defect but just don't take her hair out of the pigtails if you do just be very careful. Here is some advice be very cafeful if you wash thier hair that might be the trouble if you washed her hair and then your dog got her or put put them up higher so your dog won't get her.
